For most of her life it seems she has been creating and designing. With a background in clothing design her transition to hair design was seamless.
Merna opened her first salon in 1995 and a few years later launched Ebony Styles in the spring of 2001. Her vision for this new salon was to create a welcoming and intimate space where she would make her client's look and feel beautiful. Since that time, Merna has built Ebony Styles into one of the most prestigious and highly respected salons in Manhattan, catering to her list of clients in entertainment, fashion and design, as well as from the news rooms and Wall Street.
